Imagine 200 people gathered together for the same purpose – to buy a piece of property.
In years past, the auctioning of a house or property usually meant foreclosure or bankruptcy, according to Jim Slyman, president of Slyman Auction. However, over the last decade, the auction image has evolved, he said. In 2007, the company sold more homes by auction than any other year, he said, and in 2008, they more than doubled it.
